Gala is a huge hole in the ground containing a beach. The name Gala was given by locals from the colour of the water inside the cave. It becomes visible only when you arrive. You should follow the path from the left hand end of the beach walking towards the east. When you will climb down to the beach for swimming you will face a unique experience and if the sea is calm, swim through the narrow passage to the open sea and back.

Mati tou Diavolou (Devil's Eye) is difficult to find, because the entrance is not visible from the path. It is a low cave and at the entrance on the right side, there is a huge hole from where the sea waves gush in. It is a natural attraction where the power of the sea, the sound, the view and the deep sigh of the ever rising and falling water make for a riveting sight.

Parianos is a bay in Ano Koufonisi and is located on the west side of the island. All the fishing boats of the island are safe and sheltered there because it is windless. You can easily go on foot and enjoy the boats and the sunset with the intense shades of red.

Walking along the cliff path towards the east, past Platia Pounda beach and before you get to Pori beach, about halfway, you will find a large rock pool, Pisina. It is a natural pool due to erosion of rocks filled with salt water and many visitors prefer to swim. But you must be careful, because there are dangerous places at the bottom and the passage to the sea is narrow.

The Archaeological Collection of Koufonisi will host a permanent exhibition featuring representative finds from archaeological excavations on Ano Koufonisi and Kato Koufonisi, focusing on fascinating aspects of the daily life of the ancient island inhabitants. In addition, artifacts from Keros will enrich the exhibition, providing valuable insight into one of the most important centers of Cycladic civilization.
To date, three temporary exhibitions have been presented at the small museum of Koufonisi, attracting more than 10,000 visitors. In 2018, in collaboration with the NEON Organization, the contemporary art exhibition “Constellations on the Ground” was held, bringing together the work of ten emerging Greek artists and creating a dialogue between contemporary artistic expression, the historical landscape, and the area's archaeological heritage.
In 2019, the exhibition “Look Across: A Settlement on Keros 4,500 Years Ago” was hosted, focusing on findings from the unique deposit of broken Cycladic figurines on Keros and, above all, on recent discoveries from the remarkable Early Cycladic settlement of Daskalio. The exhibition was later transferred to Athens and was presented at the Municipal Gallery of Athens until October 12, 2021.
In August 2020, the exhibition “Traces: The Archaeology of the Koufonisia Islands” was inaugurated. It reconstructed the historical topography of the two islands, explored archaeological investigations carried out over the years, and presented important finds that shed light on ancient practices and everyday life in Koufonisia.
